How It All Started

When I joined GMC-Studies, a British Council-accredited overseas education consultancy, their website needed a lot of work. It was outdated, had no SEO, no content, no traffic—and wasn’t bringing in any leads at all.

As someone who loves digital growth and clean design, I saw this as a great challenge and an exciting chance to build everything from scratch.

My Role & Responsibilities

Here’s how I led the project from the ground up:

  • Full Website Redesign & Optimization
  • Rebuilt the website to give it a clean, fast, and professional look

  • Optimized all pages for performance, SEO, and user experience

  • Rewrote all the web content—from the homepage to service pages—to reflect clear messaging and drive conversions

  • Compressed and replaced all images for faster loading

  • Made the entire website mobile-friendly and SEO-ready

Technical SEO

  • Fixed broken links, redirect chains, and crawl errors

  • Added schema markup for better Google visibility

  • Improved site speed and mobile responsiveness

  • Implemented meta tags, alt text, sitemaps, and canonical URLs

  • Setup robots.txt and ensured clean site architecture

  • Installed and configured Google Search Console and Analytics for accurate tracking

Writing Blogs That Help Students & Drive Traffic

Once the website was in a good place, I focused on building out the blog and creating a full content strategy from scratch. I didn’t just write for the sake of publishing—I wrote with purpose.

Every blog post was based on real keyword research, what students are actually searching for, and what information they need to make smart decisions about studying abroad.

My goal was simple: write content that’s helpful, easy to understand, and also ranks well on Google.

Why This Work Matters

What makes this project special to me is that I didn’t just work on parts of it—I handled the entire digital transformation. From design and development to writing and SEO strategy, I helped turn GMC-Studies into a platform that brings real value to students and delivers consistent results to the business.
